How do barcodes work?

Barcodes are simply a string of characters that can quickly and accurately tie back to information in your software. It’s the better alternative to typing in numbers manually because it cuts down on human error greatly (e.g., typos). A barcode works by giving scanners and cameras a way to scan.

Tip!

Even though QR codes are newer technology, they might be unnecessary in your case. Consult our specialists if you would like help to determine which to use, barcodes or QR codes. Flowtrac can do both.
